Interview with Kimi Räikkönen from YLE ...
Here is the whole interview
Kimi, we met a while ago pool champion Mika Immonen and found out that he is also called the Iceman.
Then they interview Mika Immonen:
Finland also knows another Iceman, Kimi Räikkönen. Which one of you were Iceman first to which Mika says that since he is older than Kimi he was first the Iceman etc. etc.
Kimi: It's true, we have talked about it sometime when we have played pool so I give the title to Mika Immonen, no problems.
What is your favourite movie?
- Favourite movie, ha ha. I watch Finnish movies quite a lot but I can't say which one of them would top the other ones but all new Finnish movies are always interesting but of course there are a lot of foreign movies too, usually I watch many movies in the airplane during long flights but there's no movie above the others.
What do you think about Gun's and Roses' new album Chinese democracy, have you heard it?
- Yes, I've heard it quite a lot. We have used it when making some rally-snippets. I don't know, I like it but of course everyone likes different things.
What does Axl Rose think about you, I refer with this to the credits he has given you on his album, what's the story behind all that?
- Well, I don't know if there's any bigger story behind it, we know each other and hang around, talk on the phone, we come up with all kinds of things, maybe there's some truth in it. It's always fun when we meet.
Gun's and Roses is coming to Finland in the summer, can you expect some visitors at your cottage?
- I'm sure we will meet and do this and that but a lot depends on how busy we are but we will see when the time comes.
The normal F1-viewer hears a lot of rumours. Can you shed some light on that world, why is there so many rumours around you?
- I would quickly guess that it's the reporters. Everybody wants to make stories and interview people, some tell false things on purpose and some tell true things, it gets a bit mixed-up when everybody wants to make their own story. I think that that's the reason why there is always so many rumours, it has always been that way and will always be so too, nothing is going to change.
The latest rumours are taking you to Red Bull, when reflecting it on what you just said that there's not much truth in the things they say, which part of this rumour is true?
- Red Bull is true, ha ha. Red Bull is now my sponsor but of course that contract covers only this year so it can be that everything changes next year but I'm in no hurry to decide.
Exactly, 'there is no hurry to decide', have you noticed that you smile a lot more now that you are in rally. Do you even want to think about returning to F1?
- Well, of course it's a genre that I have been doing for a long time, of course I would want to. But there are also many more things that you can do. There is quite a lot of things that quite many dislike in F1, there's a lot of all kinds of useless things and they fight over all kinds of useless things, nobody can make a decision, they really don't belong to F1 and they ruin many good things there. Of course I have to see what next years brings. I have nothing against it but I'm not exactly craving back there. Things can change quickly so that's why I haven't worried about it.
You have been in thousands of interviews but if you could ask yourself a question, what would you ask?
- There wouldn't be a question. Of course there are a lot of good interviews, it depends on the genre and in F1 almost all questions are the same. It's difficult to make many questions about one thing. It's really quite easy because it isn't challenging for sure to answer to the same questions.
