Rally de Portugal: SS7 Silves 2

Ogier extends his advantage as Sordo hits trouble

Sebastien Ogier more that tripled his Rally de Portugal lead on Friday's final stage courtesy of another stage winning time and a technical problem that slowed his closest rival Dani Sordo.

The Citroen Junior Team driver will take a 26.6sec into the second day of the rally after Sordo - who still holds second - reported a sticking throttle on his C4.

Petter Solberg also had problems, arriving at the finish control with his car's right-hand rear tyre in shreds. Defending champion Sebastien Loeb set the second fastest stage time and moved from fifth to third in the overall standings.

Kimi and Kaj rolled their car over on SS7. Both are doing ok according to WRC Radio. Such a shame as they were posting incredible times!

Hopefully they will be able to continue tomorrow...
