Il rapporto tra l'ingegner Corbi e sua moglie Lorenza è non poco morboso. Dopo aver provato ogni tipo di eccesso sessuale, Lorenza non ne può più e scappa. A Fregene inizia una relazione con il giovane Edward, ma il ricordo del marito la ossessiona e progressivamente anche il suo nuovo rapporto s'incanala verso le vecchie trasgressioni. L'unica soluzione per Lorenza sarà quella di uccidere il marito. Questa doveva essere la risposta femminile al cinema erotico maschilista. Lorenza and Corbi's marriage revolves around sexual games with menacing scripts and voyeurism. When she's finally had enough, she leaves for their beach house and gets involved with a gardener, the younger, androgynous Edward. But Corbi is difficult to escape, physically and psychologically: he spies on the lovers, hires goons to assault Edward, and maintains a hold over Laurie's imagination.
