With just a week to go before the Formula One action begins with the season-opening Bahrain GP, di Montezemolo has reiterated Ferrari's desire to succeed after two years without a title.
Last year's Championship was a dismal campaign for the Scuderia with Kimi Raikkonen claiming just one victory and Massa out of action after a life-threatening injury.
This year, though, it's out with Raikkonen and in with double World Champion Alonso while Massa has fully recovered from his injury and is back racing.
Now the only thing Montezemolo wants is Ferrari to be the best.
We have a driver, Fernando, who is on top of his career and has all the attributes to win; we have Felipe, completely renewed after what happened last year," he said.
"We're close to the best, but we want to be the best.
"We have a great team and we have to give out best to improve the car: Grand Prix after Grand Prix. We can't leave any stone unturned: on the track, at home, at the works, everything has to be done the best possible way.
"Good luck from my heart: Forza Ferrari!"
